Feeding
Baby Bottles - I wanted to use Tommee Tippee bottles because they have few parts to clean but baby #1 ended up preferring Dr. Brown’s bottles. I recommend adding 2-3 types of bottles to your registry because it is very typical that baby will prefer one bottle over another and that way you have them on hand. You can always return the type of bottles that baby does not like. Tommee Tippee Bottles. Dr. Brown’s Bottles.
Baby Bottle Nipples - there are different sizes/flows associated with your baby’s age. Tommee Tippee Bottle Nipples. Dr. Brown’s Bottle Nipples.
Small Cooler - for transporting breast milk or bottles
Ceres chill
Toddler Silverware - extra set of spoons and forks
Reusable Food Pouches - used these a few times; thought I would be more of a smoothie maker but I wasn’t. Maybe next time.
Baby Food Storage Containers - We used these baby food jars to send food to daycare. I later bought a Bentgo bento box for the toddler phase.
Teether Pop - would freeze breastmilk in these to help with teething
Small Container of Formula
Nursing
Hands Free Pumping Bra - BRAVADO! DESIGNS Hands Free Pumping Bra (have to be wearing a bra to connect to). Medela Easy Expression Hands Free Pumping Bra (don’t need to be wearing a bra or good for when you are wearing a strapless bra).
Nursing Support Pillow + Extra Cover - to be honest I never used this for nursing but it was great for tummy time and when baby was learning to sit by herself.
Nursing Pads - Washable Option. Disposable Option.
Breastmilk Collector - Haaka. Elvie Curve (I personally preferred the Elvie).
PumpinPals Angled Flanges - While these are not necessary, I believe they are the breastfeeding world’s best kept secret! The traditional flanges that come with your pump are designed straight so you have to lean forward slightly while pumping to avoid backflow. PumpinPals flanges point downward, which allows you to sit more upright and comfortably while you pump.
*Breast Pump - Spectra S1 (can be used with or without a wall charger). Elvie. NOTE: check your insurance coverage and see what’s covered before you add a breast pump to your registry.
Extra Sets of Pump Bottles - 3 sets total: 1 clean, 1 dirty, and 1 ready to use next time.
*Learn more about the types of breast pumps and how I use each one here.
Diapering
Diapers - we bought multiple packs of each size since we had the storage
Changing Pad - so easy to clean. Check out my Keekaroo review here.
Changing Pad Liners - we used these under baby during the winter months. If you have a newborn outside of winter, you probably won’t need these.
Health & Baby Care
Pacifiers - Tommee Tippee Pacifier. Ninni Pacifier.
Baby Nasal Aspirator - Frida Baby Nasal Aspirator (I got this but never used it). I preferred these bulb syringes.
Baby Vitamin D - our pediatrician recommended giving baby a daily vitamin D supplement since I was breastfeeding
Clothing
Long Sleeve Onesies - bought at H&M, Old Navy, or Target
Short Sleeve Onesies - bought at H&M, Old Navy, or Target
Pants - bought at H&M, Old Navy, or Target
Sleep N’ Plays (2-Way Zip is much preferred over snaps!) - Target. Kyte Baby.
Socks - these are the only socks I’ve found that don’t constantly fall off of baby’s feet
Baby Hats - Girl option. Boy option. Gender neutral option.
Baby Shoes - bought at H&M, Old Navy, or Target
Newborn Pictures Outfit - Lou Lou & Company
Strollers & Car Seats
Mockingbird Stroller System - Mockingbird Single to Double Stroller. Mockingbird Bassinet. Mockingbird 2nd Seat Kit. Mockingbird Car Seat Adapter. Mockingbird Snack Tray. Mockingbird Organizer.
Umbrella Stroller - great for airline or car travel when needing to save space
Car Seat - the Nuna PIPA RX is one of the lightest car seats on the market and can be buckled into the car without a base (recommended to use a base on a regular basis, but if you are leaving the baby with someone else for a short period of time this is a nice feature so you don’t have to move the base to their car).
Car Mirror or Camera
Activity & Gear
Play Gym - I bought ours off of Facebook Marketplace
Baby Swing - I bought the Mamaroo off of Facebook Marketplace and baby #1 hated it (if you want this one, highly recommend buying second hand because there are so many out there that are practically brand new). She loved my Mom’s class Graco one. If the next baby doesn’t like the Mamaroo either I’m going to sell and get the Graco.
Baby Headphones - for taking baby to concerts, fairs, fireworks, etc.
Toys & Books
Postpartum
Frida Mom Postpartum Recovery Essentials Kit + Upside Down Peri Bottle
Hospital Robe - bought from Aerie
Supplies for postpartum care kit
Nursery Furniture
Clothes Hamper - bought at HomeGoods
Drawer Dividers & Organizers
Storage for Toys (in nursery and/or living room)
Nursery Décor - bought from Amazon, Target, and HomeGoods
Nursery Bedding & Essentials
Swaddles / Blankets - Velcro Swaddles (easiest to use. but baby #1 didn’t love these. Will try again with baby #2). Muslin Swaddle Blankets (preferred as a light spring/summer blanket or car seat cover). Solly Baby Swaddle Blankets (very soft and high quality; preferred as a light spring/ summer blanket or car seat cover). Lou Lou and Company Swaddle (very soft and high quality; preferred as newborn swaddle and great for newborn pics). Ollie Swaddle (our favorite swaddle for newborn stage sleeping; easy to use and safe).
Sleep Sack - We still use and love Kyte Baby sleep sacks. They are super soft and high quality. Come in 0.5, 1.0, and 2.5 Togs which can be used for different seasons/ house temps. We use the 1.0 Tog for most of the year but a 2.5 tog during the winter. I recommend starting with a size M because you won’t start using it until about 4 months old and then they fit for so long. I only sized our girl up around 15 months.
Bassinet - we had the Halo Bassinet for baby #1, but we are going to try the Newton Baby Bassinet for baby #2.
Crib Sheets - got from Amazon, but no longer sold
Baby Monitor - can connect more cameras as you add babies (up to 4)
Owlet Sock (personal preference)
Home & Organization
Storage Organizer Containers for Frozen Breastmilk - these are the perfect size for the Lansinoh breast milk storage bags.
Extension Cord - one in nursery and one in our bedroom for sound machine, baby monitor, breast pump, phone charger, etc.
Night Lights - I put a night light in our bathroom, kitchen (for when I went to store the milk I caught in my Haaka or Elvie Curve), and downstairs in the hallway and bathroom for our family who came to stay with us after the baby was born.
Storage Totes - 30 qt. for shoes and 64 to 70 qt for storing baby clothes and other baby items
Storage Pouches - for weekend travel, keeping diapers/wipes/extra outfit in the car, etc.
